General Wallpaper Advice
Double rolls vs single rolls
My rolls are considered SINGLE rolls (a single roll is 15 feet long) DOUBLE rolls means that each double roll is 30 feet long. If your project requires two double rolls, order two of my single rolls.
How to determine the number of wallpaper rolls you need
*I HIGHLY suggest hiring a professional wallpaper hanger to come measure your room (they will usually do for free). If you don't know exactly which wallpaper you want just ask her/him to tell you how many rolls for a straight repeat & a half drop repeat. If you'd like to do on your own there are a ton of great DIY articles on how to figure it out on your own.
Choose Your Wallpaper
You won't be able to estimate the amount of wallpaper needed until you know whether it has a straight match or drop pattern. *note the majority of my patterns are straight across match
Straight across match: Is one in which the design elements match on adjoining strips A wallpaper with a straight across match is a one that starts over at the ceiling line. This means that the design has to match the strips on either side.
Random match: A random match is one in which the pattern matches no matter how adjoining strips are positioned. Stripes are a good example
Drop match: With drop matches, the number of strips hung before a strip is repeated is dependent on the type of drop match. For example, in a 1/2 drop match the third strip hung would be a repeat of the first strip; in a 1/3 drop match, the fourth strip hung would be a repeat of the first strip; in a 1/4 drop match, the fifth strip hung would be a repeat of the first strip, and so on
